Christine L. Meuers, an EVP and Deputy General Counsel with Wells Fargo & Company, leads the Law Department’s Enterprise Services Division and is responsible for corporate law, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, securities law, employment law, employee benefits, corporate properties, contracts and technology transactions. Under Christine’s leadership, the practice groups in the Division assist Wells Fargo’s 80+ businesses meet their strategic objectives by soundly managing risk and complying with applicable laws and regulations. An eighteen-year veteran of Wells Fargo, Christine is a member of the Law Department’s senior leadership team and advises the Department’s Diversity Council. At an enterprise level, she serves on the Company’s Senior Human Resources Leadership team and as counsel to the corporate Ethics Committee.
Prior to being named Deputy General Counsel, Christine was as an Assistant General Counsel with responsibility for employment and employee benefits, corporate properties and IP. She joined the Law Division of the former Norwest Corporation as Senior Counsel in 1995, after twelve years in private practice serving clients in the areas of employment law and litigation, banking and commercial litigation and bank regulation. Christine is a cum laude graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School and earned her undergraduate degree from the College of St. Catherine with Phi Beta Kappa honors.
